The California Natural Gas Vehicle Partnership functions through working groups in five key areas. The working groups are: Platform Development, Infrastructure, Outreach, Health Impact, and Funding. The purpose of the working groups is to:

Conduct, implement, and promote the tasks and activities assigned to them by the NGV Steering Committee, in order to achieve the goals of the NGV Partnership as outlined in its Mission Statement.

Report back the status of activities at the NGV Steering Committee quarterly meeting, and receive directions from the Steering Committee about work to be done.

With the rising cost of petroleum-based gasoline and diesel fuel, tougher emission standards and the growing public demand for better environmental policies, natural gas vehicles provide an attractive alternative with
a multitude of key advantages.
