Hi!

I want to start off by thanking the City of Pasadena (MYGO) & Metro for introducing this program to my community. First off, I instantly saved $500 off my Tres Europa E-bike and use it as an alternative mode of transportation. I have to say that I love riding the bike more than the car now. I primarily use it for I.) Saving the environment from air-pollution (I drive a V-8 automobile), II.) Exercising while going to my job, III.) If it's a nice day I always enjoy the freedom of not being in a 3500lbs vehicle, and IV.)Saving gas money as previously I spent $50 a week on gas whereas I only live 3.2 miles away from my office.

Each time I board the train, passengers ask my questions such as "Is that an Electric bike?", "How much did it cost?", and also "Where'd you get it?" - I respond to those questions and then I point them to the MYGO sticker on my bike. I explain the program to them and explain the benefits.

I've also seen my fellow MYGO supporters on the GIANT model while in transit to my home. That's all I have to say for now, but if you ever see me in transit, say "hello" and by the way my name is Justin and my decal number is 05.

MyGo Pasadena Member #22 here (Craig)....I have commuted with my brand new Giant E Suede from the lovely Del Mar Station to Union, then the Purple line to Wilshire / Western, then around 7 miles to the 20th Century Fox lot in Century City twice this week.  What a good experience.  I made all the "there and back" journeys in just under 2 hours.  Considering my car commute can take 1 hour and 1/2 some days this is pretty good but I have the advantage of getting a good workout, breathing more air, listen to KPCC or read my book on the train and meeting some interesting people along the way on their bikes as well.  The only slight drawbacks are that the Gold Line trains are small but I have discovered that slight semi-circle section of the train where the hub thing is that gives you some room for the bike and a handle to hold.  The other is that the elevators in each of the stations that take you to the various levels to meet your connection are a bit small when there is a few trying to get on at the same time.  Of course there are some at work that think it's a bit "loco" but for the most part there are more that say I am inspiring them but they don't live in (the cool) Pasadena and don't have the advantage of such a wonderful e-bike program.  Hope this week is amazing success and let's try to turn people around to lesson their "carbon footprint".

All the best to you, Craig
